This poster was distributed to all incoming freshmen enrolled at Duke University. It was intended to serve as a warm welcome and highlight Duke’s dedication to diversity and community. The team at Duke University Photography created the photo mosaic composed of campus images taken from their office archive.

In recognition of Duke Magazine’s longevity, this poster, featuring a chronological series of covers dating back to the inaugural issue from 1984, was shared at the magazine’s annual editorial board meeting and, subsequently, throughout campus.

This series of posters was commissioned to encourage Duke undergraduates to maintain their interests in the arts, even after defining concentrations in other academic areas. The message was that studying the arts is complimentary to other academic pursuits. Faculty around campus were chosen to share their own arts background and speak to how the arts continued to influence their work. The posters were reconfigured and featured on digital monitors on a rotating schedule all around campus during the academic year.
